Video marketing is a very powerful strategy for your MLM business (or any other kind of business). Videos are the way to go if you want to connect with your audience and make a strong impression that lasts a long time.

As I have said in my previous posts, if video is not to your liking right away, then select something different and then return to video later.

Have your Marketing Funnel set up first

You have to establish a marketing funnel for your business before you embark on any marketing for your business. Whatever marketing strategy you choose, it should promote your “Squeeze page” or “Opt in” page. This will allow you to get leads from your online marketing video.

Some of The Advantages of Video Marketing are:

1. Flexibility- You can choose any place as your video location, underwater while scuba diving, at the beach, in the car, in your garden with the birds singing, in your backyard, in the pool, while ski-ing, while traveling and while on vacation.

2. People get to know you in a video. It builds your brand.

3. You can reach a far wider audience with a video than you can by speaking one on one with people. It feels like being in a conference or a seminar without the stage fright, it’s just you and the camera.

4. Creating videos is totally free if you have a camera and also nothing to post online if you are already connected to the internet, it is absolutely free.

5. Videos can become viral since people distribute them from person to person.

6. Taking videos and putting them on the website is very low technology and simple to do.

7. You can show to an individual or millions of people, how to perform a task on the computer. Just take a video of yourself performing that task. Use some free software called Jing to capture 5 minute videos or use Camtasia for longer videos.

8. A lot of leads can be generated for your business by using your videos to attract a lot of people to your website.

Short videos or Long ones?

Because people are busy and can’t always watch a long video, you can do really short 1-2 minute videos that provide people with information to help them solve a problem. In these clips you may choose to feature relationship marketing for instance or maybe go into the effectiveness of online marketing. Always put your Squeeze Page URL and a call to action, underneath your video.

It is best if you are in front of the camera. However if you are unable to bring yourself to do it the first time, there are other alternatives to make videos.

Here are six different ways you can create your own videos:

- Create slides using something like Microsoft PowerPoint or the equivalent on a Macintosh, and add music or your own voice as background. Save the slides as images then import them into a movie maker software. PCs and Macintoshes come with free movie maker programs that will help you develop movies that you can upload onto the internet. Slides are great for video creating novices, especially if you’re a little shy about showing your face.

- There are software programs that you can use to have your face showing up on a corner of the screen as is common with educational videos. Add some background music to the photos or add your own voice and you have another video.

- There are Software programs which allow you to capture your actions on the computer to create an educational video. You can have your face showing in a small corner of the screen or you have the option of not including your face at all.

- Go down the beach with a friend and just say hello and talk about the beautiful views and the waves. It is a great way to begin on those ‘showing your face’ videos. This is similar to the first video my hubby and I did below.

- If you are a scuba diver, or a keen sportsperson, get someone to video tape you. When you get home, you can use that tape to make a movie with your voice in the background passing on your message to your audience.

- You can record your interviews of leaders in your industry and upload them online.

Remember there are limitless ways you can do your videos, just let your creativity take control of you and enjoy it.

Here are a couple of pointers to put in mind before you begin your project:

- For video broadcast sites to accept your videos, keep them short, preferably less than 10 minutes.

- Create an image to insert into each end of the video. On the image, type the title of your video and your website URL, with a call to action. This way, people can go to your website after watching the video, and you will generate your own leads. For example, this is a picture I use in most of my videos..

- Most movie creation software will allow you to put a watermark on your video. Insert your URL or phone number in some cases as your watermark.

- You can submit your video to multiple different video broadcasting sites like You Tube, Google Videos, Viddler, Dailymotion, Photobucket just to mention a few.

The best way to have google index (have it listed in google) your new WordPress blog, is to submit your blog?s RSS feed to some search engines. Don?t worry about what an RSS feed is, if you don?t know. You don?t need to know what everything means, you just need to know what to do with it.

After you create your blog and write your first blog post:

1) Type in the Address of your blog in the Address Bar of your Web browser (preferably Firefox).

2) Once your blog is showing, look to the right of where your URL is typed and you should see a small orange box.

3) Click on the orange box and your web browser should open up the RSS feed of your blog. The text displayed may look like gobbledegook, but don’t worry about that. The search engines can interpret what’s written for the RSS feed.

4) Copy that RSS Feed URL and Paste it into Notepad or your favorite Text Editor.

The next day – after submitting your feed as described above – Look in the search engine’s index to see if your Blog is listed. To find your blog on Google:

After clicking on the Google Search button, your Blog should be displayed in Google?s listing.

* Use a Custom structure for your Permanent Links. A Permanent link is the Address for a blog post. The Permanent link (also named “Permalink”) should consist of your blog name, category, and blog post title.

However, if you don’t select a structure, your permalink may consist of numbers and meaningless words. This drastically reduces the chances of your post appearing in the search engines, when people type in your keywords.

Change the structure of the Permalinks by doing the following:

1) From the dashboard of your blog, select “Settings” from the left hand side menu. 2) Choose Permalinks, and select the radio bullet “Custom Structure”. 3) In the box next to “Custom Structure”, type in:

/%category%/%postname%/

By typing the above custom structure, the Permanent Link (URL) for each of your posts will consist of:

Your Blog name + Category Name + Title Name for Post

When you edit or write a new post in WordPress, little buttons are displayed above where you type your post. To change your text to bold or color or something else, just highlight the text then click whichever button required. If you want to format your heading, type in and highlight the text you just typed, then click on the “pull down arrow” where it says Paragraph.

Practise a little bit before you publish your post. There is a button you can click to “View your post” before publishing it.

1. Select from Admin area Once you?ve logged into your blog, click on “Appearance” from the Left side menu, then on “Themes”. From the big Tabs at the top of your admin area, make sure “Install Themes” is selected. See where it says “Feature Filter Find a theme based on specific features”?

Tick some of the boxes, to have a selection of themes displayed, for you to select. Select fewer boxes to see more choices. Once you’ve made your selection, click on the “Find themes” button, then select “install” to get the theme you want.

2. Download a Theme The official WordPress.org site has over 1,000 themes you can choose from. Simply choose your theme and click on the Download button. If you save it onto your desktop, you?ll find it easily.
